Come on in, guys.
By this point you've all had a shot at the challenge, so let's talk about it!
For this round, we played a game called Knife's Edge. On call with the hosts, each of you were tasked with balancing a half-filled cup on the end of a knife, with the goal of lasting as long as possible without spilling or dropping it.
Galán, you all did this challenge together, so you already know how it went down; Cayambe, some of you chose to do this individually and didn't get a chance to see how everyone else did.
In addition, Michelle and Sarena competed in this challenge to determine who would come back from the Summit.
With a time of 1 hour 28 minutes versus 1 hour 12 minutes.....
Michelle has rejoined the game as a member of Cayambe!
And without further ado, let's see how everyone did.
On Galán..... Jules wins immunity!
And on Cayambe, Michelle outlasted the rest!
Congratulations, Jules and Michelle - you were on the edge, but now you're safe from the vote.
For the rest of you, I've got nothing for you... nothing, that is, except a twist.
As usual, both Galán and Cayambe will be attending Tribal Council and voting another person to the Summit.
However, those two people won't be the only ones competing to get back in the game.
That's because both tribes will also be voting a third person out together.
Here's how this is going to work:
For this round only, all castaways will be added to a joint Tribal Council chat. You will be allowed to talk and strategize with everyone. In addition to sending a parchment for someone on your tribe to be voted out, you will also send a parchment to vote out anybody in the game you want.
We will conduct Galán and Cayambe's Councils first; the person voted out of each tribe will go to the Summit, but their second votes will be used alongside everyone else's in the joint Tribal Council where a third person will be voted out to join them. These three people will compete in a single epic truel for one (1) spot to return, meaning that two people will be eliminated from this game for good.
There's one more important element here: if the person who receives the most votes at the joint Council has already been voted out of their tribe, they will get an advantage in the Summit competition and the person with the second-most number of votes in that joined Council will go in with them (since we still need three people at the Summit). Which is to say, it is to your advantage to use creative thinking here and avoid voting the same person out twice.
((Example: Let's say Chris Blue gets voted out of Maipo and Ricky gets voted out of Sabaya. It's so tempting to write Ricky's name down for the combined vote - but if a majority of people did so, then whoever got the second highest number of votes at that joint tribal would be going to the Summit with Ricky and Chris, and Ricky would get an advantage at the Summit challenge.))
Your ability for cross-tribal communication will begin as soon as you are added to the joint Council chat. Use the parchments below to cast your two votes, and don't forget to answer your council questions. If you have any additional questions on how this all works, feel free to ask them in your host chat.
Your votes are due at 9PM EST on Saturday, October 17th. Have fun!
